Harp Victor - Master of White Noise

The story starts with a school of magic and entrance exams, just like any other magical tale. However, the protagonist is no ordinary teenager looking to learn magic. He possesses unique abilities that can counteract the orderliness of magic. Not only can he destroy magic with his mere presence, but he can also strip magicians of their ability to use it. As a result, he has spent most of his adult life hiding from the authorities, since magicians hold a significant place in the state and its opposition.

He grew up on the streets with gypsies who sheltered him and is now trying to uncover the mystery behind the death of his parents, who are officially declared dead. To find out what happened, he intends to sneak into the school where his grandfather is studying. However, he cannot do so without attracting attention, and he must play a game of cat and mouse with the authorities who are looking for him.

The protagonist has no affiliation with magic; he destroys everything magical, which is why everyone is after him. Magicians who cannot ignore his abilities consider him particularly dangerous. Local military personnel are seeking him out since they oppose the magicians in behind-the-scenes political games. Intelligence from neighboring states is also pursuing him, and his only chance is to disguise himself as a student who has lost his magical abilities.

The gypsies help him with this by giving him the gift of disguise - the ability to take on someone else's identity. However, this gift is not as simple as it seems, and the circle of pursuers is growing smaller and smaller. The story portrays a somewhat bleak world where intelligence agencies are in a constant state of confrontation, trying to identify the hero. The hero himself is trying to survive because he has no other superpowers aside from his capacity to destroy magical manifestations. His only chance against the state machine is secrecy.

A magical state, which in terms of development corresponds not to the Middle Ages but to the 19-20th century.

The hero is an anti-mage and generally the personification of chaos

The plot is rather detective, there are practically no battles

Somewhat gloomy story
