Raspopov Dmitry – Death Knight

The hero achieved his goal of winning back his love and returning to his father's house. However, this victory came at a great cost. Now, he is a target for anyone who wants to destroy him and become the ruler of all vampires. Although his magical powers make him almost invincible, waiting for assassins to appear every day is not ideal. Therefore, he sets out on a quest to find an ancient artifact that can protect him. He travels to another continent and discovers the legacy of the last death knight. He learns that his abilities can lead to an early death, and to prevent this, he must keep track of the number of people he kills. Moreover, he is no longer able to use classical magic and must rely solely on his death knight abilities. However, his arsenal is now limited and tied to the souls of those he has killed, which makes his life more complicated.

In the first book, the hero left behind a trail of corpses, but in this book, he collects souls to replenish his powers. The author has worked meticulously on the entire arsenal of the death knight, describing all abilities and the required number of souls. The book reads like an adventure story, with the hero on a journey to find an ancient artifact and facing off against arrogant elves. It also has elements of a computer game, with the hero having his own "development tree" and using souls instead of manna.

The hero loses his magical power and gains new, no less powerful abilities

Painstaking study by the author of all the abilities of death knights

The book has become less bloody, although the hero still does not reflect much on the extra victims

Soul management, which is more typical for some kind of lit-RPG, nevertheless brings variety, especially after in the previous books the hero defeated everyone simply with magical power.

It’s still difficult for anyone to resist the power of a hero
