Shaurov Eduard - Oracles of Crossroads

Everyday life can become monotonous and dull for anyone, regardless of whether they're an ordinary worker or a corporate employee. However, sometimes life offers a chance for change. It can be quite daunting to step out of your comfort zone, especially when living in impoverished conditions can be life-threatening. The main character in this story has no special skills, except for knowledge of the various dialects spoken in the city's lower class.

This story is set in a dystopian future world, where corporations rule the world, and gigapolises, artificial food, and animals are the norm. Trading natural vegetables is more profitable and dangerous than drug trafficking. Society is so stratified that the lower and upper classes even speak different languages. The story has a certain amount of mysticism and philosophical reflection, set against the backdrop of the adventures of an ordinary corporate clerk. It's not for fans of overpowered main characters who destroy everything in their path, but overall, it's a high-quality dystopian novel.

A well-developed dystopian world of the future

Frequent and unusual plot twists

A fairly passive hero who actually goes with the flow

Some touch of mysticism and philosophical reflections on the fate of the world
