Shchepetnov Evgeniy - "The Wizard with a Flaw"

A light fantasy story about a young man who grew up in the outback with a dream of becoming a magician. When he decides to leave his parents and seek adventure, he encounters a dying sorcerer who transfers his powers to him, but unfortunately, the young man becomes a dark magician. Although he has considerable strength, his spells are unpredictable. Due to the negative perception of dark magicians, the young man decides to travel to the capital city for safety. On his journey, he acquires a servant and receives a substantial amount of money. Upon arriving in the city, he discovers that his dark magic powers are in high demand among the local guild of thieves and those in power. Eventually, he is forced to declare his magical abilities publicly, which does not protect him from further difficulties.

This story is set in a traditional world of magic where magicians are not revered, do not hold great power, and are not universally loved. The young man's unique magical abilities could either save his life or create even more problems for him. The story is not meant to be epic or serious, but rather a tale of a young man with ideals searching for his place in life. He cannot accomplish his goals alone and requires the help of more experienced comrades.
