Burevoy Andrey – Defender of the Empire

After the events of the first book, the main character is appointed head of a remote customs post. Despite the mundane nature of the post, which only sees nomads with herds of cattle passing through, the hero and his demon find something to do. They soon discover that everything is not as simple and legal as it seems.

When the hero deals with smugglers, a girl appears on the horizon. Despite being young and not against communicating with the opposite sex, the hero faces challenges due to the development of a romantic line. However, the plot soon develops in unexpected ways, leading the hero to serve in a suicide squad. To survive, he must become a member of the team and try to accomplish an unrealistic feat.

Throughout the book, the humor and confrontation with the demon continue. Despite his love experiences, the hero remains interesting and relatable. Some readers may find fault with the author's excessive emphasis on the hero's romantic experiences, but it remains an engaging read.
