Katlas Eduard - Applied terraforming

A rare representative of science fiction. There are no evil aliens or wars between states. But there is a whole planet, the living conditions on which need to be changed. This is exactly the case when you need to achieve maximum results using a minimum amount of resources. And a small number of young scientists are flying to Mars, essentially with a one-way ticket. They will either be able to turn it into a habitable place, or they will simply not return to earth. And the main character, although he takes part in terramorphing, is essentially just an observer of global events.

The economic justification for the need for teramorphing is interesting, given the prohibitive cost of the work and the fact that essentially no one can guarantee a 100% result. Therefore, it makes sense to bet on many independent teams, at least some of which will achieve results. And of course, there is no escape from intrigue on the earth itself, because millions of square kilometers of no-man’s land suitable for life, with the increase in the world’s population, become almost priceless.

Read for those who miss the old science fiction of the 80s, when researchers primarily fought with nature itself and heroically subjugated it. No battles or magical duels, only a confrontation between human genius and the laws of nature.
