Kostin Konstantin – Xenotan grain

A fascinating fantasy story with a touch of humor about a simple peasant, a princess, and a king whom they want to overthrow. As it turns out, the king is not favored by everyone, including the nobility, bankers, military men, magicians, and even the local evil spirits. Only the common people, commoner guards, and the local Inquisition are on his side, which would have hardly helped the king. However, an old magician decides to devote his life to maintaining justice. Although he cannot intervene directly, he can guide a simple peasant who, at the right moment, will become a pebble that tips the scales in the right direction.

The main character represents the wisdom of the common people, who, even without special privileges and without entering into open conflicts, always remain with their own people. He relies on his cunning, knowledge of the habits of evil spirits, and a little physical strength inherited from his grandfather to accomplish his goals. He never forgets that he is a young peasant and therefore, soberly assesses his strengths and capabilities. He has his own interests and goals that are quite far from politics.

Magic exists in this world, but it does not obey strict laws and is based more on the imagination of the owner of magical powers. Although the local evil spirits have powers by nature, the local witches do not fit into the world. This is not surprising considering how they get their powers.

This story is definitely worth reading, but readers should not expect the usual version with the destruction of hundreds of enemies and love with the princess.

The main character is a peasant, without magical powers and military talents, who, nevertheless, is quite capable of saving the kingdom.

Peculiar magicians and especially witches

A share of healthy humor and irony

As the plot develops, there are quite serious thoughts about power and who deserves it
