Volkov Nikolay – Weaving (book 2)

The story of the greatest Weave is completed, and Dyrus goes to rest... Only the story of himself, as well as Ilta and Lena, is far from over.

The heroes of the previous book were successful in their mission and can now rest. The balance of magic in the world was restored, the high magician was reunited with his family and retired, and the writer got the opportunity to live in the world of magic, which she so diligently "created" in her book.

However, new and inexplicable events are approaching the world, and it is unclear what the new "weaving" can lead to or who is controlling our heroes. The retired magician and his family become part of someone's plans, and he does not like it. The situation develops unpredictably, unlike the previous book, where everything followed a pre-created plan. The "avatar" remaining in our world seeks independence, not caring about the life of its creator or the fate of its native world. Only the actions of a nomadic mercenary from the magical world can save the situation, but at the cost of losing the last hope of believing in her home world. And this is just the beginning, as events continue to develop, directed by unknown "puppeteers."

The main character is learning magic from high demons, who are more knowledgeable than any high magician. Her capabilities are rapidly growing, and her "all-powerful and all-knowing" father, a former high magician, is not in the best shape. Her mother, despite having no magical abilities, helps with advice.

The plot twists unpredictably, and all events turn out to be part of something larger. However, unlike the previous book, not everything goes smoothly, and there are victims, including characters who are not ordinary.

The book is structured according to the author's usual pattern - in the first half, events build up like a snowball, and towards the end, everything is explained in detail, including the motives of the participants. The reader cannot understand the intricacies of the events by himself.

The author pays special attention to cooking, particularly the preparation of familiar dishes in a parallel world. This seems to be one of his favorite activities. In general, the book follows the standard detective scheme, but the investigation is not limited to one or several murders.

Unexpected plot twists

Constantly changing situations and events following one after another

Quite positive main characters, and many secondary characters who are truly devoted to them

The author does not give the reader a single chance to guess about the real background of the events, since the real culprits of what is happening turn out to have little connection with the main plot

The part of the plot related to our world remains almost ignored
