Dragons

There is probably no more famous fantasy creature than dragons. They are almost a mandatory attribute of classic fantasy worlds.

Dragons, if present in the book, are usually at least huge in size, despite which they can fly. Yes, from the point of view of physics this is impossible, but we are talking about magical worlds. Moreover, along with flight, a dragon can also have very strong scales and gigantic strength. Along with their size, dragons usually also have longevity, which adds wisdom, cunning and intelligence to their already enormous capabilities.

Not only are dragons usually some of the strongest creatures. Often they will also be intelligent and have magical powers or abilities. Moreover, the magical powers will be commensurate with their enormous size.

If the dragon is part of an adventuring party, they will often be given the ability to transform into a human. Otherwise, due to their actual size, they simply will not be able to participate in all events. And at a critical moment you can always return to your real size

The author can simply introduce dragons as one of the intelligent races. They can be encountered by the main character as one of the opponents or allies. Moreover, despite the fact that most often they are presented as single characters, in some books there may be entire dragon cities or states.

It also happens that the main character himself is a dragon or (a little more often) a person who gets the opportunity to turn into a dragon. This allows you to give the character powers that are only available to these magical creatures. And at a critical moment, turn to the dragon's capabilities.

Of course, dragons will almost always have the ability to fly. This will allow them to cover vast distances. If the main character is a dragon himself, then he can enjoy the flight and the opportunities it gives.

Of course, dragons are one of the most recognizable attributes of fantasy. Their presence in the plot will most often only increase interest in the book.

Dravin Igor - Stranger

The hero is spontaneously transported to another world, possessing hand-to-hand combat skills, but here their value turns out to be questionable. After checking by the local Inquisition, he is left alone and released into “free swimming.” Only now the nearest city turns out to be a settlement of local evil spirits hunters. Moreover, the source of evil spirits is located nearby and represents both a source of all kinds of infection and a place of innumerable treasures
