Text documents are an easy and straightforward way of sharing information as they can hold a large amount of data. They are also easily understandable without complex tools or programs. However, when it comes to data in text form, it can be challenging to use without processing. An unprepared user may struggle to interpret the data quickly, and even if they do find the necessary information, it could take a long time.

To work with text and text data, it is advisable to use additional tools. For literary text or program code, tools can improve readability by highlighting syntax, breaking it into blocks or sections, etc. For a set of data saved in text form, a specially designed tool can help decrypt and display the values in a convenient way, such as through graphs or mnemonics.

If a system generates data during operation, it is also convenient to save them in log files for subsequent analysis. Similarly, if the system measures something in real-time, the measurement results can be saved in text format to determine how the data has changed over time.

Text processing systems can also be used for HTML processing and generation. The source data of any web page is HTML code, and we can generate HTML pages on the fly, useful when creating web management interfaces, or use existing pages to display information as needed.

Text processing does not require large computing resources, and even simple microcontrollers can be used. For storing large logs or data sets, a separate storage will be necessary, but the requirements for it will be lower than for media content storage. Minicomputers like Raspberry Pi or full-fledged PCs have enough memory to store a significant amount of clock information and sufficient computing power to process it quickly.

Developers should have the ability to create and use tools for working with text information as it is a necessary minimum before embarking on more complex tasks.
