Elves

Elves, along with other fairy-tale races, are one of the most common features of classic fantasy.

Gifted with immortality or great longevity, elves are often seen as one of the wisest races. On the other hand, because of their capabilities, they are often arrogant and may not consider others to be their equals.

The appearance of elves is usually quite typical. Tall, thin or slender, agile. They often have a very attractive appearance by human standards. Moreover, character does not always correspond to appearance.

The main place of life for elves will be forests. After all, they are closer to nature than other races. Even if elves live in their own city, it will most often be located in a forest or generally consist of giant trees.

Elves most often have magical abilities related to nature and life. Treatment and various techniques related to plants and animals will form the basis of their magical capabilities. Moreover, due to his longevity, an elf will most often have greater magical powers than a human.

Due to their physical capabilities, elves rarely engage in direct combat. They are sharp shooters, magicians and try, if possible, not to engage in direct conflict. If you still have to engage in close combat, then the emphasis is not on strength, but on speed, agility and skill. After all, having hundreds or thousands of years of time, you can hone your combat skills to perfection, inaccessible to ordinary “short-lived” people.

Of course, you have to pay for everything. And elves most often pay for their longevity with a very low birth rate and, in principle, a small population. Because of this, they cannot afford aggressive expansion and warfare. Most often, they live on their own territory, where they do not allow strangers, but they themselves do not seek to seize neighboring states.

Elves will not always be like the classic good ones. There may be alternative elven races (including dark elves or some completely exotic snow or blood elves) Moreover, each type of elf will have unique capabilities, abilities, and skills. And some of them may even be on the side of evil.

For fantasy fans, everything related to elves will most often be familiar and understandable. After all, they most often stand on the side of good and do not cause rejection.
